Common questions

What parents usually want to know.

What if my child is new to public speaking, or is shy?
No prior experience is needed. The programmes are designed for students of all abilities, from complete beginners to more confident speakers. Coaches use gentle, step-by-step activities so even shy students build confidence at a pace that feels safe. No one is forced to speak before they're ready.
What age groups are the programmes for, and how big are the classes?
Three programmes match three age bands: Storymakers (Pri 1 to 3), Futurepreneurs (Pri 4 to 6) and Thought Leaders (Sec & Post-Sec, including IP, JC, Poly and ITE). Each run is capped at 8 students so every child gets stage time and coach feedback every day.
What happens on Day 3?
Each programme ends with its own showcase format. Storymakers tell their story, Futurepreneurs pitch their idea to a friendly panel, Thought Leaders share a short TED-style talk. The audience comprises their classmates, parents, caregivers and teachers.
What does a typical day look like, and what will my child take home?
Each day includes warm-up activities, short teaching segments, guided practice in pairs or small groups, and a sharing moment at the end. By the end of the programme, students take home their speech or pitch outline, personal coach feedback and a certificate of participation. Photos or video snippets of the showcase where available.
Who runs the classes?
Master Speakers coaches with experience in public-speaking coaching and working with children and youth. The lineup varies by run; you can view the full team and their credentials at masterspeakers.com.
What are the fees, and are there any discounts?
$523.20 incl GST for the 3-day programme ($480 + 9% GST). That works out to $43.60 per hour for the full 12 hours of structured coaching. No bundle or sibling discounts apply.
How do I register, and when does registration close?
Pick your run in the Fees & Schedule section above and click Register. You'll go to a dedicated page where you confirm centre and student details. Registration closes once a class fills.
What if my child can't make a day? Are fees refundable?
Programme fees are non-refundable, as materials and resources are allocated in advance. Each day builds on the previous one and Day 3 is the showcase, so we recommend choosing a week that fits your child's schedule fully.
What should my child bring? Are refreshments provided?
A water bottle, writing materials and a light jacket (rooms can run cool). Any additional materials, like props for a story or visual aids for a pitch, will be communicated in advance. Light refreshments are provided; students may bring their own light snacks for break times.
